The existing offshore Alba field facilities, located 28 km North West of Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, West Africa, is upgraded with the Alba B3 Compression platform. Water depth at the installation site is approximately 76 meters. The Alba B3 platform consists of a 2800 mT Jacket and a 6000 mT Topsides.
The Topside was fabricated by Heerema Fabrication Group in Zwijndrecht, the Jacket and Piles by HFG Vlissingen. The Bridge and Flare were fabricated by the Equatorial Consolidated Group (ECG) in Equatorial Guinea and the Warehouse by Stallion Offshore Quarters, Abbeville, Louisiana.
In Zwijndrecht the Topside was loaded out onto the H-542 Barge over the stern by Mammoet trailers and sailed to Vlissingen, where the Jacket and Piles were loaded out over the bow also with trailers. The Bridge, Flare, and B2 Warehouse were loaded out onto the JMC3008 barge in Equatorial Guinea by trailers over the stern.
The Alba B3 platform was installed successfully with the SSCV Thialf in January 2016.
